Job Functions:

Requirements and Technical Skills:

  • Installing, configuring, tuning, maintaining and monitoring Windows 2003/2008 Enterprise server
  • N/A
  • Server administration in Enterprise/Production Active Directory environment
  • Use monitoring tools, such as SolarWinds to oversee multiple systems operating within a defined support operations area.  Troubleshoot systems with remote technology, such as iDRAC and RDP
  • Work with clients to develop, implement and review customer relations service improvement programs to enhance delivery of service
  • Implement core business processes and assist in process improvement initiatives in order to enhance customer service
  • Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate policies and procedures
  • Maintain communications with customer staff and management to ensure that service is delivered on time and within budget
  • Interact with subordinate supervisors, customers and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company
  • Leverage business, technical, and interpersonal skills to manage center operations, customers, and operations personnel
  • Coordinate and communicate with other area managers to leverage resources and discuss solutions to matters of significance
  • Provide continuing training and review and/or development of related policies and procedures

Labor Category Description:

Manages computer operations. Ensures production schedules are met. Ensures computer system resources are used effectively. Coordinates the resolution of production-related problems. Ensures proper relationships are established between customers, teaming partners, and vendors to facilitate the delivery of information technology services. Provides users with computer output. Supervises staff operators.



Labor Category Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university with five years of related experience. Equivalents: High School diploma with nine years of specialized experience in related field, or Associates Degree with seven years of experience, or Masters Degree with three years experience, or Doctorate Degree with one year experience.

Other Qualifications:
•Must have a minimum of two years experience providing system and server support
•Microsoft Hyper V and Windows Server Clustering is a plus
•Understanding of server hardware and configurations, such as RAID and disk management
•Strong communication skills
•Strong interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with team members and clients
•Good organization skills to balance and prioritize work
•Good analytical and problem solving skills
•Good personal computer and business solutions software skills
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team
•Ability to create and maintain formal and informal networks
