Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
ACE-IT is looking for an exceptional Sr. Storage Engineer/SAN Engineer to join our talented team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the Storage products specifications, design, demand management/forecasts, product roadmaps and performance standards to for NAS and SAN technologies including EMC and NetApp. This will include leading product evaluations/ tradeoff analysis of storage technologies and products, coordinating with storage vendors on upgrades and replacements, designing failover/ replication architectures and leveraging emerging storage provisioning models using IaaS consumption based models. Additional responsibilities will be to perform tier 3 support, development of automated provisioning tools, storage problem management, and architecting storage models for development, test and production environments. Periodic "On Call" support may be required for this position.
Demonstrated experience in design, engineering, implementing and supporting Enterprise Storage technology and solutions: SAN/NAS from the major Contractors such as EMC, Netapps, Hitachi, etc..
Demonstrated ability to manage large enterprise storage environment (more than 2 Petabyte of storage).
Demonstrated knowledge and hand-on skill sets in configure and optimize storage with remote replications and backup.
